Based at The Hub, Westwood Business Park in Margate, the clinic provides a range of aesthetic, skin and semi-permanent makeup treatments in a welcoming private clinic environment. We welcome clients from Margate, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Westgate-on-Sea and Birchington-on-Sea, and from Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Deal, Sandwich, Dover, Folkestone, Ashford and further afield, including London and Cambridge. Meet Sian
Sian Murphy — Founder & Aesthetic Practitioner
Sian is the founder of SM Aesthetics Clinic in Margate. She takes a personalised, considered approach to every client, listening to your goals and recommending only what is right for you.
Her aim is natural-looking, balanced results that leave you looking and feeling like yourself.
Sian takes a measured approach. She explains what is realistic, suggests less where less is right, and will tell you if a treatment is not suitable for you. Clients often mention her honesty and the time she takes to explain each step, and many return for maintenance and recommend the clinic to friends and family.
Training & experience
Sian completed treatment training with Serene Skin in March 2022, covering the following areas:
- Bespoke facials and dermaplaning — 14 March 2022
- Microneedling — 15 March 2022
- Fat-dissolving injections and vitamin injections — 16 March 2022
- Foundation dermal filler — 17 March 2022
She also completed semi-permanent makeup and micropigmentation, skin booster and polynucleotide training through VA Clinic in Romford on 11 April 2024.
Training informs the consultation; suitability, treatment-specific risks and realistic expectations are discussed with each client. You are welcome to ask Sian about the training relevant to your chosen treatment. New courses are added to this list as they are completed.
Clinic registration & insurance
The business is registered with Thanet District Council and is subject to periodic council inspections. Sian has confirmed that the council and her insurer have been notified of the move to the current Margate premises.
Sian holds medical professional liability (medical malpractice) and public liability insurance, each with a limit of £1,000,000, arranged through Insync Insurance Solutions and underwritten at Lloyd’s. Treatments that need a prescription are assessed by the clinic’s prescribing partner, Dorota Jaworska of DJ Clinic in Folkestone. Dorota is a registered adult nurse and midwife with a Nurse Independent / Supplementary Prescriber qualification, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with no restrictions on practice; you can check her entry on the NMC register. She sees you one to one and decides whether a prescription is appropriate before any treatment is booked.

Choosing a practitioner is about more than a treatment name or a price. You should understand who will treat you, their relevant training, where your appointment takes place and what support is available afterwards.
At SM Aesthetics Clinic, appointments take place in dedicated commercial premises at The Hub in Margate. This gives you a consistent place for consultation, treatment and planned follow-up, with private treatment rooms and the practical access facilities described on our contact page. Sian’s supplied training details are listed above, and you are welcome to ask about the training relevant to your proposed treatment.
Questions worth asking before you decide
- Training and experience: What training relates to this exact treatment and treatment area?
- Hygiene: How are equipment, treatment surfaces and clinical waste managed?
- Insurance: Does the practitioner’s insurance cover the proposed procedure at these premises?
- Assessment and consent: Will your medical history, suitability, alternatives and risks be discussed before you decide?
- Products: What exact product will be used, why is it proposed and what information can you review?
- Aftercare: Who provides follow-up, how do you raise a concern and what happens if urgent medical care is needed?
